Israel Strikes Key Iranian Missile, Defense Sites in Major Retaliatory Attack

The Israel Air Force carried out a significant retaliatory strike against Iran, targeting multiple sites associated with the Islamic Republic's ballistic missile capabilities, Israeli media reported on Saturday night. The strikes were directed at a dozen locations involved in producing solid fuel used for Iran's long-range ballistic missiles. This action, aimed at hampering Iran's missile production capabilities, has reportedly dealt a severe blow to Tehran's ability to replenish its strategic inventory.

According to Israeli sources, the targeted sites contained advanced equipment essential to Iran's ballistic missile program, components Iran is unable to manufacture domestically. The equipment was reportedly acquired from China, highlighting its critical importance. The sources described these strikes as significant to hindering the continuation of Iran's missile advancements.

In addition to the missile production facilities, the Israeli operation targeted four strategically positioned S-300 air defense batteries protecting vital nuclear and energy infrastructure in Tehran. The attacks on these air defense systems reportedly weaken Iran's ability to protect critical sites.

The operation also included strikes on a drone manufacturing plant and a facility within the Parchin military complex. The Parchin site, in particular, has a controversial history involving research and development activities related to nuclear weaponry, making it a key target in Israel's broader strategy to curb Iranian military capabilities.

These airstrikes represent a bold escalation in Israel's ongoing campaign to counter perceived threats from Iran's missile and defense advancements, impacting both Iran's immediate defensive capacity and its long-term missile production capabilities.
